A: The New Testament (particularly in the book of Acts and Paul’s epistles) names numerous churches by the cities that the believers were in. So, we would expect there to be a church for Orlando, Florida (as well as any other city). In the Bible, believers in each city would meet together in houses (but not necessarily all at the same time). This “church of Orlando” is just a web site with study materials to help believers in Orlando mature.
A: Denominations teach traditions that are outside of the Bible (many have foundations in the Bible, but are misapplied). The Bible tells us to be of one mind (Romans 15:6, 2 Corinthians 13:11, Philippians 1:27, and Philippians 2:2). That is not possible with differing doctrines, which are really denominational traditions. Obviously, each denomination declares that it is correct, so it is really up to you to determine if yours is. We will be glad to help you figure that out.
A: Proper doctrine for the church today comes from the King James Bible—rightly dividing it into grace (for us) and law (for Israel). Since most churches will not rightly divide the Bible, they will fight about their various traditions, which are improperly founded on Israel’s program. You can use a different Bible if you want, but it will hinder your maturation due to errors in it. There are studies on the Bible and on right division to help you better understand these topics
A: By “church”, you probably mean a building where the church meets. But, yes: Fellowship Bible Church (310 N. Hiawassee Road, Orlando, FL, 32835; fellowshipbiblechurchorlando.org) is the only facility that I know of that is located in the Orlando area. This site attempts to further the ministries that they offer by having Bible studies elsewhere in Orlando. These are simply study groups and not complete ministries.
A: No. It was independently developed before I found Fellowship Bible Church (FBC). FBC existed long before this site, but I didn’t know it. Finding a proper facility was not an easy problem to solve.
A: Well, FBC, like many other churches, has on-line alternatives. This site simply provides on-line studies and a facility to have interactive Bible studies in homes or on-line. The on-line studies are non-interactive videos. The in-home studies are interactive (you can comment and ask questions). Use the “Contact” page to learn more.
A: No. You can remain at your church as long as you want. If you decide to learn more, you can then decide if you like your church’s traditions rather than the truths of the Bible. Most believers are not open to being told they are being deceived (perhaps unintentionally) by their churches. No one wants to admit to being duped. You can tell yourself that you haven’t been and continue on in ignorance, or you can be a Berean (Acts 17:10-11) and find out if what your church is teaching you is really in the Bible. I can encourage you that most of what is taught is actually somewhere in the Bible—just not rightly divided. I went to a denomination church for 20 years. They couldn’t resolve a number of contradictions in the Bible. I have answers now.
A: No, definitely not. There are many reasons that believers will not turn loose of what they have been taught. Jesus did not succeed in converting the religious leaders of Israel, why should I? Paul had the same problem. But each did find the few that would receive the truth. That is this site’s goal: to find the few that want to know the rightly-divided truth. We will all be in heaven nonetheless!!!
A: The first part is easy: get saved by the gospel of grace (a short video on the main page will tell you how). The second part might not be: you need to live in Orlando. Don't worry. There is really nothing to join. You can use the site’s materials regardless of where you live. The site cannot help you coordinate meeting with other believers if you live elsewhere.
Yes. Currently, there are two. One is on Tuesday at 6:00 pm and the other is on Saturday at 3:00 pm. The Tuesday session has Zoom meeting available (the other does not). Use the contact page to attend in person or to get the Zoom meeting information.
