The Questions and Answers are divided into three areas below:
If you have a question that is not shown here, use the CONTACT link at the top of the page.
A: The New Testament (particularly in the book of Acts and Paul’s epistles) names numerous churches by the cities that the believers were in. So, we would expect there to be a church for Orlando, Florida (as well as any other city). In the bible, believers in each city would meet together in houses (but not necessarily all at the same time).
A: This website (called “the church of Orlando”) provides study materials to help believers in Orlando mature. The website curriculum is still being developed, but it is purposefully organized to help believers mature. It has Beginner, Intermediate, and Advance sections, each with study series. Most study series have videos and a study guide. A few might only have one or the other.
A: Denominations teach traditions that are outside of the bible (many have foundations in the bible, but are misapplied). The bible tells us to be of one mind (Romans 15:6, 2 Corinthians 13:11, Philippians 1:27, and Philippians 2:2). That is not possible with differing doctrines, which are really denominational traditions. Obviously, each denomination declares that it is correct, so it is really up to you to determine if yours is. We will be glad to help you figure that out.
A: Proper doctrine for the church today comes from the King James Bible—rightly dividing it into grace (for us) and law (for Israel). Since most churches will not rightly divide the bible, they will fight about their various traditions, which are improperly founded on Israel’s program. You can use a different bible if you want, but it will hinder your maturation due to errors in it. There are studies on the bible and on right division to help you better understand these topics
A: The following are the core beliefs:
There are studies on this site that support these assertions: (1) The Revelation of God, (2) The English Bible, and (3) Respecting Distinctions.
A: No, definitely not. There are many reasons that believers will not turn loose of what they have been taught. Jesus did not succeed in converting the religious leaders of Israel, why should I? Paul had the same problem. But each did find the few that would receive the truth. That is this site’s goal: to find the few that want to know the rightly-divided truth. We will all be in heaven nonetheless!!!
A: The first part is easy---get saved by the gospel of grace (a short video on the main page will tell you how). The second part might not be: you need to live in Orlando. Don't worry. There is really nothing to join. You can use the site’s materials regardless of where you live. The site cannot help you coordinate meeting with other believers if you live elsewhere.
Yes. There are live bible studies that meet in-person and on Zoom. The in-person component is a small house church. Zoom provides a virtual meeting for those that cannot attend. These meetings are very different from a church's livestream since you can interact and ask questions. A livestream chat does not accomplish this.
Zoom meetings are recorded so that you can watch meetings that you could not attend. A future facility will be to livestream the Zoom meeting. In that case, you can watch the meeting live and not interact (no one would know that you are watching).
Use the LIVE link at the top of the page to see a schedule and to get information about these meetings.
A: This might be possible. On occasion, we might host a live meeting at another location to increase interaction and to publicize what we are doing (like meeting in a public forum). There must be Internet available to include the Zoom component.
A: Yes, any believer in any city can participate. The only limitation is to be respectful in the meetings.
A: Yes: Fellowship Bible Church (FBC) at 310 N. Hiawassee Road, Orlando, FL, 32835 (fellowshipbiblechurchorlando.org) is the only facility that I know of that is located in the Orlando area. This is on the west side of Orlando near the Valencia College West Campus. This website is not affiliated with FBC
A: There is a current effort to establish a group on the east side of Orlando near Union Park or Valencia College East Campus. Whether or not that can get established and grow into a more traditional building concept remains to be seen. There is also an effort to establish a presence on the Valencia College East Campus, but that has not been successful so far. I'd like to see a presence at UCF as well.
The live studies have some small, in-person attendance until we can reach a larger group. You can always start an in-home church independent of anything being promoted here.
A: No. You can remain at your church as long as you want. As you learn more, you can then decide if your church is teaching the truths of the bible. We try to meet on days and at times the do not conflict with traditional church services.
