The bible tells us to rightly divide the word of truth. That means dividing part of the bible from the rest. Those two parts are mystery and prophecy. When this is done dispensations become evident. Also, common words such as apostle, gospel, baptism, and church can be seen to have distinctions across these dispensations. The bible tells us that one cannot mature without understanding these topics.
